Fourth Annual Shopping With the KingsChristmas 2025 marked the fourth annual Shopping with the Kings, a truly special holiday tradition for the Woodcreek Virtual Lions Club, Agra Risk Wheatland Kings, and our community.
In December, 21 local families were welcomed to a memorable holiday shopping experience alongside players from the . Hosted at the Remuda Building at the Strathmore Ag Grounds, the day was filled with laughter, kindness, and the spirit of giving that makes the season so meaningful. Children shopped for gifts with the Kings players by their side, creating moments of excitement, confidence, and connection. The experience continued with a festive hot dog lunch provided by the team’s concession, followed by gift wrapping with the help of players and volunteers. Each family also received a Christmas card containing gift cards and complimentary passes to a Wheatland Kings home game. This event would not be possible without the incredible generosity of our donors and community partners. Their support helped turn a simple idea into a day full of warmth and holiday magic for local families. |
With heartfelt thanks to our 2025 sponsors:

Wood's Homes For the HolidaysThe Woodcreek Lions Club was proud to support Wood’s Homes for the Holidays, a program dedicated to bringing hope, comfort, and joy to children, youth, and families who face some of the most difficult circumstances during the holiday season.
For many young people in Wood’s Homes programs, the holidays can be an especially challenging time. Some are unable to return home, while others face financial hardship or lack stable family support. Wood’s Homes for the Holidays helps ensure these children and families feel cared for, valued, and remembered by providing gifts, food support, and meaningful holiday experiences. Through this program, donors help create moments that matter. From fulfilling wish lists and supporting group homes to helping families share a holiday meal together, these acts of generosity make a lasting difference. |
Lethbridge Family Services - Angel TreeWe’re proud to support the Angel Tree Christmas Campaign by Lethbridge Family Services. Each year, this program helps ensure that every child in our community experiences the joy of the holiday season.
Through the generosity of donors and volunteers, Angel Tree provides new, unwrapped toys, books, and gifts to children who might otherwise go without during the holidays. The program reaches thousands of children across Lethbridge and the surrounding area, spreading kindness, hope, and connection at a time when it’s needed most. The Woodcreek Virtual Lions Club is honoured to contribute to this heartwarming initiative and help make the holidays brighter for local families. |
